2:25 PM -- Paul Adams probably has one of the coolest jobs in the industry. He’s a user experience researcher at Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) and focuses on emerging markets. He gets to spend months at a time in countries like China and India to observe people and how they behave.

It’s like getting paid to be on holiday, except that his holiday snapshots are his research. His observations on cultural behaviors help Google develop products for emerging markets.

Check out some of the photos from Adams’s travels here on his personal blog or here on Flickr.

”We can’t take our Western models to these markets,” said Adams, speaking at the Mobile User Experience conference in London yesterday. “We need to stop looking at emerging markets from afar. We need to go there and understand them.”
