NICE -- ConceptWave Software Inc., a leading provider of order managementsolutions, today announced the launch of its Catalog Management product as part of the ConceptWaveOrder Care® suite.

The ConceptWave Catalog Management product creates a foundation for adding and modifying productsin a Communications Service Provider’s (CSP) systems environment with minimal IT expertise. CatalogManagement offers a repository enabling CSPs to define, bundle, price and retire their offerings as wellas having the ability to rapidly create new and customizable service offerings. This results in reduceddevelopment costs and quicker time to market.

“Our customers were telling us that CRM-based approaches and biller-based approaches to productcatalogs have their place, but were not meeting all their needs” said Zarar Rana, President and CEO ofConceptWave. “They needed a solution that effectively dealt with the complexities of their orderhandling operation” added Mr. Rana.

“Communications Services Providers are increasingly looking for an end-to-end order managementsolution from a single vendor rather than using many vendors in a piecemeal approach” said SanjayMewada, Vice-President, Yankee Group. “A carrier grade order management solution bundled withcataloging capability will go a long way in meeting the single source needs of the service providers”.

“A key challenge facing our customers is to bridge their commercial orders with the technical fulfillmentaspects of their operations” said Mr. Rana. “The Catalog Management functionality allows our customersto more elegantly handle the back-office challenges that are created when they launch offers like crossproductbundles.”

ConceptWave’s Catalog Management is metadata-driven, and provides a centralized facility forestablishing the “product definition” that governs what is presented at the inception of the order, andhow downstream fulfillment activities are executed. The catalog structure is customizable to includeproduct hierarchy, bundles, features, availability rules, and the associated workflow definition.
