Comptel introduces advanced Comptel Convergent Charging software at 3GSM World Congress

HELSINKI -- Comptel Corporation, a leading OSS software vendor for convergent mediation, charging, provisioning and network inventory, has today introduced an advanced Comptel Convergent Charging solution in the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona. Comptel Convergent Charging solution overcomes the challenges of bringing together the different service networks in charging both for pre- and post-paid subscribers and enabling flexible rating models for productising operator's service offering.

Comptel's modular solution offer a true differentiation capability with smooth evolution of operator's current network- and BSS/OSS- environment into a fully convergent solution based on best-of-breed, field-proven components for convergent rating, charging and balance management solutions. Comptel's solution support both online charging and offline charging and complies with 3GPP standards as well as IMS charging standards. It supports all type of services including voice, data, messaging and content services. Solution examples are data charging solution for post-paid and prepaid, post-paid cost control solution and IP prepaid solutions. All these solutions provide concrete business value for the operator while at the same time utilising efficiently the existing billing and prepaid infrastructure.
