BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Interactive Enterprise announced today that Comporium Communications has selected its Conexon platform for provisioning advanced broadband services to its subscribers. The Conexon solution will provide Comporium with numerous benefits including rapid deployment of new services, operational cost savings, and improved customer satisfaction. Conexon's initial role at Comporium will be to manage service provisioning for subscribers of residential high-speed data service. Conexon's functionality may be extended through bolt-on adapters and additional business applications for the provisioning of other services, such as PacketCable Voice and Interactive Video. Conexon is a scaleable, open-integration platform that ensures reliable commercial transactions. It enables the rapid deployment of high-speed data, voice, and video services while reducing costs by automating business processes required to provision devices, route data, and manage services. Conexon also provides "plug and play" adapters (making the product independent of any vendor) that support the four layers of service activation: Subscriber Device (cable modem, digital set-top box, etc.), Network (routers, switches, CMTS's, etc.), Back Office Systems (billing, inventory management, etc.), and Service Offerings (web, email, video-on-demand, IP telephony). Conexon is a proven solution that can offer significant benefits to Comporium by developing a provisioning and service activation process that is better, faster, cheaper, and more scalable. "Interactive Enterprise is delighted to be entering into this long-term relationship with an advanced operator for the roll out of sophisticated broadband services to its subscribers," said Tom Higgins, Chief Executive Officer, Interactive Enterprise. "Conexon will help Comporium Communications maximize its return on investment by accelerating the roll out of new advanced services and significantly reducing deployment costs."
