AMSTERDAM -- Real-time network quality of service (QoS) monitoring experts CommProve (formerly Simtel) has announced it is to expand its established European base by opening an office in France.

The new Paris base will be under the management of John Sanford, who joins CommProve from NMS Communications as European Sales Director. John has a proven record in sales, business development and management across Europe, Middle East, Africa and the U.S.A.

Whilst at NMS Communications, John Sanford developed and implemented a successful, direct sales strategy targeting mobile operators. John also formulated global strategic alliances with tier one equipment suppliers. Prior to this role, John was based in Sweden where he was responsible for business development and sales for Telia International Carrier and other telecom services providers.

Already a dominant force in the Italian and South American OSS market, CommProve currently provides comprehensive network monitoring services for Italian giants TIM. Focusing on the importance of optimal content delivery and radio quality across wireless networks, CommProve enables operators to highlight and rescue the vast revenues that can be leaked by poorly performing networks.

Central to CommProve’s strategy moving forward is the shift from artificial information-based network monitoring services such as drive tests to the real time, 24x7 results required by operators in their quest for optimal network quality.

“All operators realise how network quality affects the delivery of legitimate content and services to its subscribers,” said CommProve’s CEO Ali Pourtaheri. “Our success to date shows the value of giving operators an instant and accurate reflection on the quality of service their subscribers receive.”
