SHENZHEN, China -- Only five months after Huawei was awarded a one-million-line ADSL contract in China Telecom’s ADSL tender project in June, it announced recently that it has won another two-million-line contract among China Telecom’s 5-million-line new round of ADSL tender project that just closed, thus becoming the No. 1 strategic partner of China Telecom.

As having always focused on customers’ demands, Huawei has developed SmartAX DSLAM to adapt to China’s specific characteristics, supporting up to 10,000 ports, broadband business network operation mode, and CO/outside plant/CPE maintenance, which have won unanimous acceptance from experts of China Telecom and its provincial branches. Further, the launch of new features of SmartAX DSLAM such as ADSL2+ and 4Band VDSL gives continual support for operators to deliver broadband services of higher bandwidth over longer distances.

Up to now, Huawei SmartAX has been deployed extensively in countries and regions including Brazil, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and Russia, providing over 8.5 million lines, among which over 5 million lines are of IP-DSLAM. With the world’s second largest market share of DSLAM, Huawei SmartAX DSLAM has established itself as a mainstream brand in the world.
