RICHARDSON, Texas -- Chiaro Networks, the provider of disruptive technologies in a high-end routing platform, today announced a marketing services agreement with Korea-based P & H Telecom. P & H Telecom will market Chiaro’s IP routing platform, Enstara™, to Korean service providers. With a total population of about 47 million, Korea is one of the fastest growing broadband markets in the world today with approximately 30 percent of total households having broadband access. The government has promised 100 percent broadband coverage. This level of broadband adoption will move the country’s current telecom transmission network into a broadband sensitive packet switch / VoIP network, driving the need for high quality (99.999% reliability) 6+ Terabit Core Routers such as Chiaro Networks’ IP routing platform, Enstara. The Korean government has funded the expansion and conversion to this next-generation network. The founding partners of P & H Telecom, H.N. Huh and H.S. Park, offer more than 30 years of telecom expertise in Asia following stints at Rockwell, Alcatel and Samsung. Previously, Tharby developed new business globally from X.25/Frame Relay to ATM and IP VPN networking. His most recent focus was the transformation of a public voice network to a packet-based infrastructure with advanced services.
