CES: No Photos Please, We're Huawei

5:20 PM -- Regular readers might get a kick out of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. 's stance on photographs at this year's CES show, which can be summarized as "no", "no," and "sorry, no."

I wanted to take a snap of BM325 minature USB WiMax modem on its display stand at the Huawei booth for our CES coverage. I was quickly told that no photos were allowed.

Which might make you chuckle when you recall the curious case of Huawei engineer, Yi Bin "Flash" Zhu, at the Supercomm tradeshow back in 2004. (See Huawei in Spying Flap.) Times change, eh?
