DERRY, N.H. -- Cedar Point Communications, the leader in integrated packet-based voice switching technologies for the cable industry, announced today the European debut of its Media Switching System at the IBC2005 Conference September 9-13 at the RAI Amsterdam.

At its stand (#8.302) at the conference, Cedar Point will demonstrate how SAFARI C(Cubed)'s integrated design can enable cable system operators to deliver high-quality, highly reliable voice and multimedia services in a simple, cost-effective and scalable manner. In addition, Cedar Point will show SAFARI C(Cubed)'s support for wide variety of advanced applications, including Television Based Picture Caller ID and Video Telephony using SIP.

SAFARI C(Cubed) is the only totally integrated carrier class VoIP switch that incorporates -- at no additional cost -- all of the components that make up the distributed voice switching infrastructure, eliminating the need for operators to purchase, maintain, upgrade and regression test separate Call Management Servers, Media Gateways, Call Detail Records (Record Keeping) Servers, Announcement Servers, Signaling Gateways, Ethernet Switches and Legal Intercept (CALEA) servers.

Cedar Point Communications has announced agreements for the deployment of SAFARI C(Cubed) with Comcast, Charter Communications and Insight Communications in the United States, as well as with major cable system operators in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and the Caribbean. SAFARI C(Cubed) also has been deployed in conjunction with Net2Phone's hosted telephony platform by Bresnan Communications and by Liberty Media's Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico. Cedar Point will be announcing European customer and partner activity in the near future.
