TEL AVIV -- RADCOM, Ltd. (Nasdaq: RDCM), a leading network test and quality management solutions provider, today announced that they have been selected by the BT Group, one of Europe's leading providers of communications services, to participate in a trial deployment of their recently announced 21CN (21st Century Network). The 21CN is an IP (Internet Protocol) based network that uses IP packet rather than Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) technology.

In phase one of the trial, BT states it will bypass the core PSTN network link between two of its major network nodes. BT plans to seamlessly divert the voice calls between these two nodes to the 21C specific network, which is a dedicated, high capacity IP network that will also carry data and broadband services.

"In this application, BT will use Omni-Q to monitor end-to-end voice quality across both the new 21C network link and the PSTN," said Chris Leggett, Sales and Marketing Director of Sygnus Data Communications Ltd., RADCOM's UK distributor.
