LONDON -- BT today announced the appointment of JP Rangaswami as chief information officer (CIO) for BT Global Services. BT Global Services works in 170 countries and is the fastest growing division within BT Group, supporting large businesses and organizations across the globe.

Mr Rangaswami will report to Andy Green, CEO, BT Global Services, and to Al-Noor Ramji, CEO of BT Exact, BT’s technology organisation. Mr Rangaswami will also join the Global Services executive committee, BT’s One IT information technology committee, and have a seat on the IT board.

“BT is fortunate to be adding someone of JP Rangaswami's calibre and experience to our IT leadership team,” said Andy Green. “His extensive international experience, relentless customer focus and innovative approach to emerging technologies and practices make him a great addition to our leadership team.”
