LONDON -- BT Tradespace, the online community and marketplace for UK small and medium-sized businesses, today announced the appointment of Mark Riley as strategic partnership manager. Mark’s role will focus on online distribution and product proposition, as well as driving business development opportunities.

Riley began his career launching his own “dot com” company – champagne-events.com before working for a digital corporate venture at the Arcadia Group. He then moved on to work at Amazon UK, where he looked after the UK Associates programme, and was also part of the original team at YouGov. He has joined BT Tradespace from eBay, where he was the market development manager for Gumtree.com, the UK’s largest free classified web site.

Ivan Croxford, general manager, BT Tradespace, said: “Mark’s impressive body of work in both online development and operations will play a key role in developing BT Tradespace and expanding our customer and partnership opportunities.

“His role is recognition of our continuing commitment to, and investment in, our marketplace and customers. We’re confident he will be a great addition to our management team.”
