Broadwing Serves New Millenium

AUSTIN, Texas -- Broadwing Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Broadwing Inc. (NYSE: BRW), today announced it has been named the exclusive network service provider for New Millennium Entertainment, LLC, a new Internet Services and online gaming company recently formed by former Sega.com executives. Broadwing will provide the ‘liquid’ bandwidth from the world’s first fully optical network and Cisco powered IP backbone, to power New Millennium Entertainment’s online venture that will have the capacity to provide up to one million simultaneous gamers with an uninterrupted, latency-free competitive environment. Broadwing’s exclusive multi-year arrangement with New Millennium Entertainment is a significant milestone and provides the opportunity to showcase Broadwing’s industry-leading optical technology. Additionally, this agreement further underscores Broadwing’s commitment to establish strategic relationships with leading content developers who recognize the value of Broadwing’s killer platform.
