Broadwing enhances its MultiConnect data product, offering new enterprise solutions

AUSTIN, Texas -- The "new" Broadwing Communications - afully consolidated subsidiary of Corvis Corporation (NASDAQ: CORV) - todayannounced the launch of three enhancements to its award-winning MultiConnect product.

These first-in-the-industry enhancements provide enterprises with new,simple, and cost-effective solutions for disaster-recovery and business continuity;frame relay integration; and international private line connectivity. The new ConnectFamily of products and product extensions include: MultiConnect, MultiConnectReDirect, MultiConnect International Extension; and FrameConnect.

"Through this product lineextension, Broadwing brings compelling networking solutions to both existing and potentialcustomers. Providing distance-insensitive, point-to-multipoint private linesolutions, the original MultiConnect was created and launched by Broadwing last year. The productis inherently secure and protocol-agnostic, and can link hundreds of remote locationsseamlessly for a flat monthly fee. Since launching MultiConnect, Broadwing has activatedthousands of locations for customers in various industries including banking,insurance, retail, legal, media, manufacturing, transportation, and health care.
