BEDFORD, Mass. -- Hammer™ test platforms from Empirix Inc., the industry’s leading supplier of VoIP testing systems, have been selected by BroadSoft to serve as the primary test tools to verify and validate the performance, reliability and scalability of BroadSoft’s carrier-class VoIP application software and platforms. BroadSoft has more than 95 carrier customers, including BellSouth, MCI, Singtel, Telstra, and XO Communications, with more than 900,000 subscribers shipped.

BroadSoft is utilizing the Hammer FX™, Hammer NXT™ and Hammer Call Analyzer™, as well as specialized testing applications developed jointly by the two companies, to provide the centerpiece for BroadSoft’s next-generation quality assurance initiatives. Hammer products enable BroadSoft to perform a complete range of conformance, feature and scalability tests on its products, under a wide variety of “real-world” network scenarios and carrier-class loads.

BroadSoft's BroadWorks provides a comprehensive range of VoIP applications, including mobile PBX, hosted PBX, business trunking, residential broadband, hosted key system and IP multimedia services fully integrated into a single hosted communications platform.
