PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL) announced today that its subsidiary, Brightpoint North America L.P. ("Brightpoint") and the Connected Home Solutions business of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) ("Motorola") have entered into an agreement whereby Brightpoint will distribute Motorola VT1000 Broadband Voice Gateways. Brightpoint will initially focus on promoting Motorola's Voice Terminal products in support of the Vonage Master Agent program previously announced.

The Motorola VT1000 Broadband Voice Gateways reliably deliver Voice-over-IP (VoIP) services to residential and small business customers. The VT1000 combines two traditional telephone lines for VoIP telephone calling and home networking in one simple plug-and-play device. The VT1000 offers Motorola's Quality of Service (QoS), and supports cost-effective bundled CLASS features like flat-rate long distance, call waiting, caller ID, call forwarding, and online voice mail. Additionally, the Motorola VT1000 Broadband Voice Gateways are interoperable with networks that support the session initiation protocol (SIP) standard for Internet telephony.
