TAMPA, Fla. -- AT&T announced today that it has won a three-year, $2.3 million contract from Sykes Enterprises Inc. for an integrated networking solution supporting Sykes' global call centers in Asia Pacific and Latin America. Sykes is a global leader in providing outsourced customer care management services. AT&T will provide ACCU-Ring® Network Access Service OC 48 technology to integrate Sykes' Tampa data center and AT&T's Orlando Internet Data Center. AT&T also will provide high-speed dedicated private-line services linking Sykes' facilities in the United States to call centers in Costa Rica, the Philippines and India.

"We continue to choose AT&T because of its state-of-the art technology, quality of service and reliability for that critical last mile," said Gerry Rogers, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Sykes. "We're in the customer service business, and it's imperative to keep our centers up and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our customers do business with us because they know we have a reliable IT infrastructure."

AT&T ACCU-Ring offers high reliability for mission-critical applications, alternate-site back up and the confidence and the security of a private communications network. It supports Sykes' business continuity plan by assuring the availability, security and recovery of networks, data, computing and mission-critical applications in the event of a natural disaster or emergency.

ACCU-Ring saves customers time and money by consolidating their traffic -- whether private line, switched and enhanced service, or all-distance carrier traffic (voice, data and video) -- and supports virtually all protocols, as a single dedicated high speed access service to save time and money.

"It's always a compliment when a global leader like Sykes' invites us to develop a solution that supports global mission-critical capabilities," said Bob McCarthy, Vice President - AT&T Business. "Managing networks is our core business - and we fully understand how important it is to be up and working all the time."
