BETHESDA, Md. -- Lockheed Martin Corp. has broadened and deepened its long-standing strategic relationship with AT&T in conjunction with signing a $60 million, three-year contract for a full range of integrated data and voice services.

Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, Md., is one of the nation's leading advanced information technology (IT) providers and serves as the largest supplier of IT services, systems integration and training to the federal government.

Building on a relationship that spans more than 14 years, Lockheed Martin has named AT&T as a provider of networking services. With this agreement, AT&T provides and manages an integrated portfolio of voice, data and Internet services to support Lockheed Martin's telecommunications requirements in more than 900 domestic locations and 56 countries around the world.

"To meet the dynamic requirements of our business, we need to access and process volumes of information quickly and securely," said Kim Sawyer, vice president, Computing and Network Services, Lockheed Martin. "This cost-effective solution delivers a robust network with the speed, flexibility and performance we need to work effectively with our customers and suppliers."

With the new contract, Lockheed Martin's 130,000 employees worldwide gain operational efficiencies and flexibility through technologies that seamlessly integrate voice, data and Internet Protocol (IP) services. The company will run mission-critical applications over the network in support of key government customers and programs and each of Lockheed Martin's business areas.

Lockheed Martin will also enjoy the benefits of AT&T's Enhanced Transport Service, which provides comprehensive, end-to-end network management support, a single point of contact to streamline all service orders and installations, dedicated 24x7 maintenance support, and a broad range of inventory and performance reports.
