CAMPBELL, Calif. -- Array Networks, the pioneer of integrated web traffic management and SSL VPN solutions for global enterprises, announced today that Array SP, the company's secure global access solution, outperformed its competitors in a recently concluded multi-vendor roundup test of SSL VPN products, commissioned by Light Reading, the premier information resource for the networking industry. Light Reading worked with its independent testing partner, Network Test, to benchmark top products in the SSL VPN gateway market.

Array's SSL VPN solution showed impressive results in numerous testing categories in the most comprehensive test to date of SSL VPN products. The Security Assessment test revealed Array SP as the only system proven to have no identified security vulnerabilities. For response times, a key measure for end users in determining true SSL VPN latency, the Array SP was rated the best product. For access to applications, such as Outlook Web Access (OWA), Array SP is 600%-1,000% faster than the nearest competitor. In terms of OWA transaction rate, Array SP processed more transactions per second on a per-user basis than any of its nearest competitors. Light Reading's forwarding rate tests also revealed that Array SP supported 500 users at 479 Mb/s -- compelling results when compared to the two nearest competitors (Netscreen only managed 200 users at 249 Mb/s and NetScaler only reached 12 users at 488 Mb/s). The Light Reading results demonstrated Array's singular ability to scale at high performance levels.
