NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- Apex Technologies is pleased to announce the release of its Next Generation Optical Spectrum Analyzer, the AP2040 series.

This series sets a new standard in optical spectrum analysis not seen before. The methodology is based on an interferometer principle which enables the achievement of an ultra high resolution of 0.16pm or 20MHz.

This in contrast with some of the best conventional grating based OSA’s on the market today with a physically limited maximum resolution of 10pm. Going beyond this 10pm barrier required a completely different approach which the AP2040 series offers.

Other features of the AP2040A are a wavelength accuracy of +/-3pm, an optical measurement range of +20dBm ~ -75dBm, a built-in tunable laser output of -5dBm, a multi color touch screen and much more.
