These customer premises-based products allow Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) and Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) to implement a cost-effective IP network architecture for Voice over IP (VoIP) deployment, while supporting customers' legacy equipment.

Using Total Access 900 Series products, carriers can migrate to VoIP architecture today, while providing new, competitive, revenue-producing services. These products are ideal for hosted PBX or IP Centrex applications, and can be used as a SIP gateway to overlay additional services to customers. Features such as dynamic bandwidth allocation and G.711 and G.729a voice compression technology allow carriers to save on backhaul costs. This provides the opportunity for enterprise customers to take advantage of increased features and cost savings as a result of VoIP implementation, while providing the option to maintain existing legacy infrastructure, implement a gradual IP migration, or select a complete overhaul of their network.
