WASHINGTON -- SS8 Networks, Inc., a leading provider of IP messaging systems, lawful intercept and signaling solutions for the telecommunications industry, announced today that Acme Packet, a leader in session border control, has partnered with SS8 Networks to deliver complete lawful intercept solutions for real-time interactive IP communications.

Acme Packet's solutions enable network service providers to deliver premium, interactive communications -- voice, video and multimedia sessions -- across IP network borders. Under the partnership agreement, Acme Packet's Net-Net family of session border controllers (SBC) supports interoperability with SS8 Networks' lawful intercept platform, Xcipio(TM). Acme Packet's SBC acts as the intercept access point in an IP network. The provisioning and delivery function is performed by SS8 Networks' lawful intercept platform which delivers the intercepted content and call data received from Acme Packet's SBC via secure interfaces to law enforcement agencies.

"Acme Packet is a renowned leader in session border control," said Dr. Cemal Dikmen, vice president and general manager of lawful intercept at SS8 Networks, "and providing a complete interoperable solution with SS8 Networks' Xcipio platform creates a first-rate service offering for delivering secure communications across IP as well as traditional network borders."
