Tomihisa Kamada named CEO, while Koichi Narasaki, chief exec of subsidiary IP Infusion, is named chief strategy officer

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets today announced a series of executive management appointments aimed at supporting its drive to grow and expand business operations in the US and global markets. ACCESS’ board of directors named Dr. Tomihisa (Tomy) Kamada president and co-chief executive officer of the company, effective February 1, 2009. Kamada was previously executive vice president and chief technology officer. Toru Arakawa, the current president and chief executive officer, will assume the newly-created office of chairman, subject to approval at the annual stockholders’ meeting on April 21, 2009. Arakawa will also remain CEO. Arakawa and Kamada co-founded ACCESS in 1984.

IP Infusion
Koichi Narasaki, CEO of IP Infusion Inc., an ACCESS company and provider of intelligent software for Next Generation Network equipment manufacturers and converged IP services providers, has been appointed senior executive officer and chief strategy officer for ACCESS CO., LTD. In this role, he will work to identify future growth opportunities worldwide and will also be responsible for creating a unified strategic direction for all of the Company’s business units. He remains CEO of IP Infusion.

Kunihiro Ishiguro, CTO of IP Infusion has been named senior executive officer, CTO and chief information officer for ACCESS CO., LTD. Ishiguro will remain CTO of IP Infusion.

ACCESS Systems Americas
Positioning the company for growth in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America markets, Kiyoyasu (Kiyo) Oishi, currently COO of ACCESS Systems Americas, Inc. (ASA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACCESS CO., LTD. based in Sunnyvale, CA, will become CEO of ASA. Oishi’s appointment strengthens the ties between ACCESS corporate headquarters and the U.S. market and leverages ASA’s strong R&D and product development teams.

ACCESS Systems Americas serves as the R&D center of excellence for ACCESS Linux Platform™, the industry’s first fully integrated, open, flexible and commercial grade Linux-based platform designed for mobile phones and converged devices. ASA is also responsible for strategic customer and partner relationship management in the Americas region, focused on strategic alliances and establishing partnerships with key players such as operators, applications ISVs, silicon partners, and service and content providers.

Oishi will remain executive officer and SVP of global marketing for the parent company.

All management changes are effective as of February 1, 2009.
