Highlights I would like to draw your attention to:
Senior service provider keynote and session speakers. Many of the industry’s leading carrier experts on Ethernet services and technology will provide updates on their service offerings; discuss how Ethernet has helped their enterprise customers control communications costs and increase productivity through the economic downturn; and share their thoughts about where the industry is heading over the next few years. Keynote speakers Margaret Chiosi of AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T), Mike Volgende of Verizon Enterprise Solutions , and Russell Shriver of Level 3 Communications Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) will be joined by a stellar group of professionals from AboveNet, Global Crossing, Interoute, NTT America, Optimum Lightpath, tw telecom, and others to be announced soon.
Scope of the agenda. The agenda is largely centered around Carrier Ethernet business services for enterprise customers on Day 1 and around Carrier Ethernet/MPLS-based network infrastructure and technologies supporting fixed and mobile converged services on Day 2. We have included an Enterprise Business Services Luncheon Workshop on Day 1 that is dedicated exclusively to end-users of Carrier Ethernet services.
Ethernet Expo & MEF awards. On November 3, we will announce Ethernet Expo America’s Carrier Ethernet Vendor of the Year Awards for Best Marketing, Best Access Solution, Best Switch/Router Infrastructure Solution, and Best Packet Optical Infrastructure Solution. In addition, the Metro Ethernet Forum will announce winners of its various Ethernet Service Provider of the Year awards. The Ethernet Expo award submission deadline is Friday, October 2, 2009.
Invitation-only Carrier Ethernet for Investors session.
