LONDON -- Lightspeed Europe -- Ken Jones, former Vitesse Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Transmission Division, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Essient Photonics, the Scottish-based company. Rounding out Essient’s strong executive team, Jones brings more than 15 years of leadership experience to the integrated III-V optoelectronic components supplier. While at Vitesse, Jones was responsible for marketing, design, and product release of network core and metro physical layer devices. Within the last year his teams released three distinct families of high-performance products.
