STOCKHOLM -- Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has been selected by the operator DNA in Finland to host a faster and simpler activation and configuration of its customers' handsets through Ericsson Automatic Device Configuration (ADC).

The automatic device-identification and configuration service is based on the Ericsson ADC solution. Through the managed services hosting contract, Ericsson takes overall responsibility for the service.

With the Ericsson ADC solution, new DNA customers and users automatically receive settings when their phone is switched on. Services such as MMS, WAP and the adoption of internet access become simpler and faster, both for the customer and the operator.
