Re: PerformanceI don't know about philospher's take on such gigantic pay packages, but I seem to remember reading something recently about economists taking a stand that the large CEO pay and benefits were not such a good thing not only for the stockholders but society in general. I suspect philosphers might take the view that no individual should be "worth" such huge multiples of the average worker at the same company.
PerformanceIsn't this type of pay tied to performance? AWS has been going gangbusters for years. I'm sure this money is not an arbitrary number - it was surely decided upon based on how well leadership of the business has been going.
