PHILADELPHIA -- Comcast Cable, the nation's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, announced today that David Fellows, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be moving into a part-time Executive Fellow role with the company in January 2007. A search will commence immediately for a new chief technology officer. Fellows joined Comcast Cable in 2002 and was previously CTO of AT&T Broadband, and held similar roles at MediaOne Group, RoadRunner, and Continental Cablevision.

"Through Dave's leadership, Comcast has built one of the most sophisticated Internet Protocol technology platforms in the cable or communications industries. Dave has made a tremendous contribution to Comcast and has been an admired leader in the company and within the industry. We wish Dave well in his endeavors and value the ongoing relationship we will have with him," said Steve Burke, President of Comcast Cable and COO of Comcast Corporation.

"I have been traveling four or five days a week for almost five years and the time has come to transition into a new relationship with Comcast," said Fellows. "In this time, we have created a national IP platform that enables all services to flow through our Converged Regional Area Networks, connected by a common backbone, with a common provisioning system. The foundation for the next few years of growth is laid."
