Dowslake Microsystems announces the change for its management team

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Dowslake Microsystems, a pioneer and provider of smart modules and subsystems for OEM system integrators, today announced the departure of Dr. Xin Cheng, as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Discharged from daily operations, Dr. Cheng will continue to be Dowslake's Board member, providing guidance to company's strategies and business directions.

For the same announcement, Dowslake welcomes Dr. Ben Hua to join Dowslake's senior management team as Vice President, Product Management. Ben is a veteran of the fiber-optical communications industry, having worked for ETEK/JDSU for over 7 years. Ben has a Ph.D. in Physics, and Post-doctoral in Optical Networking at TR Labs, Canada. His last position with JDSU was senior director of Business Operations.

Dowslake designs and manufactures cost-effective CWDM and DWDM transponders, optical amplifiers, performance monitors, and is rapidly expanding its product offering toward SONET/SDH access equipment. With its headquarters in California and a low cost development/manufacturing center in Shanghai, China, Dowslake provides cost effective OEM module and subsystem solutions to a list of blue-chip customers.
