PETAH TIKVA, Israel -- ECI Telecom's (NASDAQ: ECIL - News) Inovia Broadband Access Division announced today that its Hi-FOCuS(TM) Multi-Service Access Gateway (MSAG) solution will play a major role within the CYTA (Cyprus Telecommunications Authority) triple play service network.

Under the multi-year contract, ECI expects to deliver tens of thousands of DSL lines to enable the delivery of voice, data and video services to subscribers throughout Cyprus.

CYTA's broadband access network represents one of Europe's first national-scale triple play service networks. ECI's Hi-FOCuS(TM) was chosen by CYTA following an extensive evaluation process. Supporting robust, value-added services, including fast internet access, video channel streaming, video broadcasting over DSL and Interactive TV over DSL, ECI's platform proved the ideal choice for CYTA's triple play network. An additional significant factor was the flexibility offered by the Hi-FOCuS platform, enabling CYTA to cost-effectively scale up its broadband service network while delivering advanced DSL services to a growing number of subscribers as necessary.
