Cube Optics, manufacturer of miniaturized fiber-optic components, appoints Francis Nedvidek as CEO

MAINZ, Germnay -- Cube Optics (CUBO), leading manufacturer of miniaturized fiber-optic components, welcomes Francis Nedvidek, Ph.D. as CEO. Dr. Nedvidek brings with him two decades of experience spanning technology innovation, product and market development and general management roles. He has held senior positions with corporations in Canada, the USA and Europe including the Raytheon subsidiary ELCAN Optical Technologies, Leica, Black & Decker, the Electrical Division of von Roll ISOLA and the SOMOS Consulting Group. More recently, Dr. Nedvidek has led new and growing enterprises supported by well-known venture and private equity investors such as Celtic House Venture Partners and Tera Capital Corporation.

The addition of Dr. Nedvidek expands the management team to suit the rapidly growing business. He explains: “I am enthusiastic – CUBO has an excellent team in place and the opportunities are exceptional.” Dr. Thomas Paatzsch, one of CUBO´s co-founders, has assumed the role of COO while Ingo Smaglinski, also a co-founder, continues as CTO. “We are very pleased to have Francis join our management team,” said Thomas Paatzsch, “as Francis brings the necessary experience which we need in this phase of a fast and substantial growth.”
