CTIA Update: Day Three at CTIA

- Verizon adds LTE suppliers. Verizon has invited some new suppliers to dine at its LTE table for policy control and backhaul. (See CTIA 2010: Verizon Picks AlcaLu for LTE Backhaul.)
- Sprint bangs the drum for WiMax. In yesterday's keynote action, Sprint's CEO said mobile WiMax is still the right choice for the carrier, while Clearwire chief said all operators will be using the same 4G tech in the future. (See CTIA 2010: Hesse – LTE Will Be Bigger But We Are First.)
- Samsung's shows first LTE handset. Samsung says the SCH-r900 will be the first commercially available dualmode CDMA/LTE handset in the United States when MetroPCS launches it in the second half of this year. (See Samsung Unveils LTE Handset.)
