REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- CoSine Communications, Inc., (Nasdaq: COSN) today announced a partnership with Baltimore Technologies (Nasdaq: BALT; London: BLM) that will further extend the flexibility of CoSine's IP Service Delivery Platform. Baltimore develops security services that enable trusted, secure systems for e-business, the Internet, and mobile commerce. CoSine now interoperates with Baltimore's UniCERT(TM) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system. This interoperability allows Service Providers that deploy CoSine's IPSX 9000 Service Processing Switch-a component of the IP Service Delivery Platform-to ensure the delivery of secure network-based applications such as Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) from within their networks. Under this agreement, CoSine also joins the Baltimore TrustedWorld technology partner program.

"Working with Baltimore, a leading global e-security provider, allows us to support our growing international customer base," said Dean Hamilton, chief executive officer for CoSine. "The partnership with Baltimore is another example of our commitment to an open platform and our ability to support applications from a wide variety of market-leading vendors. Our customers deliver secure, managed VPN services to their subscribers around the globe, and they have come to expect this type of flexibility from CoSine."
