CoreOptics names Saeid Aramideh as vice president of marketing, business development, and sales for North America

NUREMBERG, Germany and MANCHESTER, N.H. -- CoreOptics Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of 40Gb/s and 10Gb/s optical networking subsystems, today announced that Saeid Aramideh has joined the company as the Vice President of Marketing, Business Development and Sales for North America.

Saeid Aramideh comes to CoreOptics with over 14 years of experience in product line management, marketing and the development of optical components, Sonet/DWDM transmission and optical switching products. He served most recently as the Vice President of Product Management at iolon Inc, responsible for the company's outbound marketing efforts to introduce industry's first widely tunable laser product for the optical networking applications. "I am impressed with CoreOptics' advanced transponder product platform that provide a cost effective solution to enable higher capacity utilization of existing networks while providing unprecedented performance enhancements for the next generation optical networks" Said Mr. Saeid Aramideh. " I will look forward to build upon the company's differentiated solutions to expand CoreOptics' operations in North America "

Previously, Aramideh was a member of the leadership team at Corvis responsible for introduction of the company's all-optical networking products. Aramideh played a key role in developing Corvis' product and marketing strategies.

Aramideh also spent 10 years with Nortel Networks where he held a variety of development and marketing management positions in the Nortel Networks Fiber Optics Transmission Group. In his last position with Nortel, Aramideh played a pivotal role in laying Nortel's marketing strategy for the emerging data centric carriers and launched a national campaign to introduce Nortel's services marketing program.
