Control Risks selects AT&T to provide secure worldwide network

LONDON -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) todayannounced that Control Risks, a leading specialist risk consultancy, has selected AT&T in a three-year agreement to provide a global communications infrastructure and associated advanced communications services.

Control Risks provides advice and services that enable clients tomanage strategic and operational risks. By the nature of its operations thebusiness is highly global, and the company operates in Europe, NorthAmerica, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Australasia. Havinghighly reliable, secure real-time communications is vital to its business.

AT&T will provide a virtual private network (VPN) connecting 24 ControlRisk locations in 18 countries and will support the company with managedInternet access and remote access to the corporate network for travelingemployees. The fully encrypted VPN will enable the global deployment ofmission-critical applications such as client relationship management (CRM)software and other enterprisewide applications and tools and is backed byAT&T-managed firewall service.

For Control Risks, an important criterion in selecting AT&T was thedepth and reach of AT&T's global network infrastructure. The ability toprovide a consistent service in such diverse locations as Dubai, Jakarta,Bogota and Tokyo is critical to the fast-growing company.
