The joint tests verified interoperability between Conexant's CX2418X family of decoder integrated circuits and the TANDBERG EN5990 MPEG-4 AVC high-definition (HD) real-time broadcast encoder. AVC technology allows digital broadcast TV service providers to improve bandwidth utilization, enabling the cost-effective delivery of a wider range of video, voice, and data broadcast programming.
