Competitive Telecommunications Association names 27 execs as charter members of its CEO Council, which will meet three times a year

WASHINGTON -- Following on the heels of a highly successful inaugural CEO Summit at its annual convention last month, the Competitive Telecommunications Association (CompTel) today named 27 telecommunications executives as charter members of its CEO Council. The CEO Council is designed to provide high-level executives with the opportunity to interact with their peers; discuss industry, business, operations and policy issues; and develop powerful constituencies for lobbying and advocacy outreach. “We are delighted to have such an esteemed group as charter members of the CEO Council,” said H. Russell Frisby Jr., President of CompTel. “The active involvement of these key executives will ensure that CompTel can continue to address issues that are vital to the companies it represents and contribute to the overall growth of the competitive telecommunications industry.
