Xilinx designed its packet-based multi-service bearer platform using high-performance Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGAs

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced that ZTE Corp., a publicly listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, designed its packet-based multiservice bearer platform using high performance Xilinx Virtex®-6 FPGAs, enabling 100G Ethernet service deployment.

ZTE cites superior Virtex-6 FPGA performance, low power consumption and flexibility as key contributors to its success in getting to market in record time to establish a technology lead in the fiercely competitive market for carrier, enterprise and data center network solutions. Notably, ZTE’s IPTN (internet protocol transport network) passed the most strict, authoritative tests for communications infrastructure solutions, most recently in China Mobile’s large-scale testing which support high-volume purchasing.
