SHELTON, Conn. -- TranSwitch® Corporation (TXCC) today announced that the Company has retained Drakes Bay Company LLC a leading patent brokerage firm, to sell selected TranSwitch patent families. The TranSwitch patent families relate to Wide Area and Local Area Networking, DSL, and Ethernet Semiconductor and Systems Technologies. 77 US patents, 39 US patent applications and 32 international patents and applications will be offered for sale. TranSwitch will retain use licenses for these patents enabling the continued sale of legacy telecom products.

“Over the past two decades TranSwitch has built a vast portfolio of patent families addressing widely adopted telecommunications technologies.
