Metalink announced that it has created a strategic Advisory Board to complement its executive team

YAKUM, Israel -- Metalink Ltd. (NASDAQ: MTLK), a provider of high-performance wireless and wireline broadband communication silicon solutions, today announced that it has created a strategic Advisory Board to complement its executive team. Armando Geday, ex-CEO of Conexant Systems, has been named Chairman of the new strategic Advisory Board with the mandate of providing experienced counsel regarding the formulation and execution of its business strategies.

Armando Geday is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience.He joined Globespan Semiconductor in 1997, eight months after it was spun out from ATT by the Texas Pacific Group, as its president and CEO. During his tenure, Globespan became the world's largest provider of DSL system silicon and software and merged with its competitor Virata. Mr. Geday led Globespan to its acquisition by Conexant in 2003. Prior to Globespan, Mr.Geday served as VP and General Manager of Rockwell, leading it to an undisputed leadership position in the voiceband analog modem market.Armando is currently an advisor to Index Ventures and Francisco Partners.
