ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Network Cadence Inc. has changed its name to Verecloud Inc., as the company strategically repositions itself and leverages its expertise to deliver a new platform enabling communications service providers (CSPs) to capture share in the emerging cloud computing services market.

Verecloud is supporting CSPs as they become cloud service aggregators for small and medium-sized businesses. To help CSPs benefit from this opportunity, Verecloud is developing “NIMBUS Marketplace,” a platform that enables these communications companies to quickly and efficiently tap into the cloud services market without costly and time-consuming upgrades to current infrastructure.

CSPs already have relationships with millions of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Verecloud’s NIMBUS Marketplace will provide the technology CSPs need to provide ordering, fulfillment, support and billing of cloud services to these customers in an effective, cost-efficient way.

The cloud potential for CSPs is enormous: Projections from research group IDC suggest worldwide IT cloud services revenue will grow to $44 billion by 2013.

John McCawley, Verecloud’s president and CEO, said CSPs are natural service aggregators with strong customer relationships, making them well-positioned to connect small and medium-sized businesses with a proliferating array of cloud computing solutions such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Verecloud’s NIMBUS Marketplace technology will allow these communications companies to present a compelling value proposition to small and medium-sized businesses that want access to cloud computing services, he added.

“Verecloud will help CSPs make the switch to delivering advanced cloud-based services in a quick, efficient and profitable manner,” McCawley said. “Our company is focused on giving CSPs the solutions they need to deliver advanced cloud services without the need for costly and time consuming upgrades to their legacy systems.”

The company’s cloud services aggregator solution for CSPs has attracted industry attention.

“The tremendous promise of Verecloud is directly linked to the sheer size of the opportunity the company is addressing in the cloud computing space,” said Dr. Hossein Eslambolchi, former CIO and CTO of AT&T Labs and a noted technology consultant and visionary. “Not only do they truly understand the underlying obstacles communication providers face in delivering cloud services, they also have developed a comprehensive, efficient, and cost effective solution to the problem.”

The NIMBUS Marketplace solution from Verecloud will provide CSPs with a platform to integrate, aggregate, and mediate cloud services for small and medium-sized businesses. Most importantly the platform is secure and is easy for SMBs to use, CSPs to operate, and service suppliers to integrate.

The platform enables CSPs to integrate with cloud service suppliers by equipping them with a supplier ecosystem. Once integrated with service suppliers, CSPs can aggregate their products and cloud services via NIMBUS Marketplace and sell bundles to customers. As a result, the CSP maintains ownership of the end-to-end customer experience.

The platform also continuously improves the customer experience. An easy to use Web portal is provided for customers to directly configure and order cloud services. The web portal also will recommend compelling products. NIMBUS Marketplace enables CSPs to know their customers better than the customers know themselves by providing purchase, usage, billing and other data analytics.

Verecloud’s NIMBUS Marketplace cloud platform for CSPs is in the development stage and is expected launch in the fourth quarter of 2010.
