SYDNEY -- Pacnet, Asia's leading business telecommunications service provider, today announced the launch of Pacnet Virtual Private Server (VPS), its first Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution in its growing portfolio of cloud computing solutions.

Pacnet VPS leverages Pacnet's extensive IP VPN network, and delivers high-performance and high-resiliency virtual servers that function just like physical servers. Built from industry-leading virtualisation software, servers, storage equipment and platforms, the service allows customers the flexibility to choose from four configurations - Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large - to match their compute and storage requirements. Customers also have a choice of either Microsoft Windows Server Standard or Red Hat Enterprise Linux as the operating system of the virtual server.
