Japanese giant establishes local subsidiary in Indonesia

TOKYO -- NTT DATA CORPORATION, ("NTT DATA"; President and CEO: Toru Yamashita; Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo) and its subsidiary NTT DATA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. ("NDAP"; President and CEO: Ryoji Fukaya; Head office: Singapore) established a local subsidiary in Indonesia in order to further strengthen the business promotion in Asia-Pacific region. The registered legal name is PT. NTT DATA Indonesia, which is going to in operation on September 1, 2011.

1. Background of the new subsidiary
Indonesia has a huge market with the world's fourth largest population of over 240 million, and it is still growing significantly as represented by GDP growth of over 5%. Because of this, a number of Japanese companies are doing business in Indonesia, and it is expected that more and more multinational companies as well as Japanese will accelerate to establish their business hub in Indonesia. In this situation, NTT DATA and NDAP decided to establish PT. NTT DATA Indonesia in order to further strengthen their organization supporting introduction, development and management of IT systems for these customers.

Furthermore, NTT DATA and NDAP aim to improve customer satisfaction and expand the business across Asia-Pacific region, by exercising the IT Services providing capability which is strengthened by cooperation between the new company and any other NTT Group companies.
