NEC adds CA Technologies advanced authentication to provide a robust security service from the cloud

ISLANDIA, N.Y. and TOKYO -- NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) and CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that NEC will offer a new robust and scalable security solution as a cloud service that uses CA Technologies proven, cloud-ready advanced authentication technology.

The service will deliver a flexible security solution that helps operators and content / application providers address the need for multi-device, multi-service authentication. As smart phones and tablets continue to proliferate among business users and consumers, user identities become associated with multiple devices. As a result, carriers, corporations and governments need to streamline security and usability for their customers, employees and constituents across devices and services with a seamless and strong authentication system for both users and devices.
