BASKING RIDGE, N.J. -- When technology provider ARINC wanted to help the airport industry operate passenger check-in terminals more efficiently, it tapped Verizon for a new cloud-based solution that offers better economics and flexibility while requiring less capital.

Under a new five-year agreement that extends and deepens the companies’ existing relationship, Verizon will provide ARINC with cloud services through Verizon’s Terremark IT services subsidiary for the delivery of ARINC’s flagship airline check-in solution, vMUSE Enterprise.

Using this new IT delivery model, ARINC will enable airports to eliminate on-site servers, high-bandwidth requirements, climate-controlled rooms and technical manpower required to run check-in services essential to airport operations.
