DERRY, N.H. -- Cedar Point Communications, Inc., the leader in integrated packet-based voice switching technologies for the cable industry, announced today the appointment of Andy Paff as President and CEO.

Paff, well regarded as an executive and an innovator within the industry, joins Cedar Point after three years with Broadband Services, Inc., where he served as chief technology officer and was responsible for new business development and the operations of the company’s MapVantage™ unit. Previously, he had held senior positions with such companies as Antec Corporation, now Arris, and Worldbridge Broadband Services.

I expect that Andy will develop a long-term position for Cedar Point as a substantial supplier to the cable industry, building from the company's initial product focus."

Among Paff’s accomplishments at BSI were the development and deployment of the company’s MapVantage Intelligent Mapping solution as well the Supply Chain Management tools that encompass BSI’s asset management system. Before joining BSI, Paff held such lead executive positions as CTO and executive vice president, new business for Worldbridge Broadband Services, Inc. and executive vice president of Antec. He also served as founder and CEO of Integration Technologies, a joint venture between Antec and Northern Telecom, and was president of Optical Networks International.

Paff holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.S. from the University of Illinois. He is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers.
