Big Switch Names Palazola Operations Chief
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Big Switch Networks, the Bare Metal SDN company, today announced that Joe Palazola has joined the company as Vice President of Operations and Customer Support. In his new role, Palazola will lead all Business Operations, Customer Support, Program Management, Human Resources and IT.

Palazola has more than 25 years of experience helping businesses scale up by reducing operating friction and improving customer satisfaction. Most recently, he was Vice President of Operations and Customer Escalations at Juniper Networks where he managed operations teams spanning all key functions of the Security Business Unit in addition to customer engineering teams responsible for solving the most complex customer cases. Before Juniper, he held leadership roles at Extreme Networks, Sun Microsystems and AT&T Business Services where he built out customer relationship management platforms, sales budgeting systems, forecasting systems and other critical operational infrastructure. He has held operating and leadership positions for multiple startups, focusing in sales operations and financial reporting.
