PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Zoho WebNMS, a major player in network management space, whose technology and products help equipment manufacturers and service providers build custom fitted and highly scalable management applications, is gearing up to align with the latest industry trends in Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Big Data with the enhancements in latest release, WebNMS 5.3.

WebNMS already has the most comprehensible Carrier Ethernet OAM solution in the market complementing the carrier-grade NMS/EMS platform, whose customers include major equipment suppliers in the Carrier Ethernet space as well as service providers.

With the WebNMS architecture and a large set of industry-standard protocol adaptors both on the southbound and northbound layers or the ability to plug-in adaptors for new protocols, the features easily map underlying device data models and functions to generic higher level northbound APIs. The WebNMS framework is an ideal fit for service providers to build vendor agnostic, centralized, control software that can support service orchestration across multivendor network topologies.

The new version of WebNMS also supports Hadoop at the database layer to make it ideal for large-scale management deployments and can handle massive amounts of performance data. Apart from aiding the already carrier-grade WebNMS framework to break new performance or scalability barriers, this also enables WebNMS to be the framework of choice to build SDN applications like service orchestration software, which can benefit from the Big Data analytics capability.
