QOS Networks Wins State of California Contract as Exclusive SD-WAN Provider
IRVINE, Calif. -- QOS Networks, a managed network services provided based in Irvine, California, announced today they have been selected by the State of California as their SD-WAN deployment and managed solution provider. In 2019, the State of California identified VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud to be the platform for their network. As a platinum partner of VMware, QOS Networks was eligible to deliver the solutions including orchestration, gateway devices, and edge devices alongside ongoing managed services. QOS Networks has been chosen as the sole managed services provider approved for agencies implementing their new SD-WAN solution.
QOS Networks was chosen from a large pool of RFP respondents because of their ability to execute, commitment to customer experience, and overall expertise in the SD-WAN space. The contract award is publicly stated information available for the general public to view.
Working with the State of California will allow all state-run agencies with expiring MPLS contracts to implement next-generation SD-WAN solutions. QOS Networks will procure the hardware, design the network configuration, and deploy the solutions onsite for each agency. QOS will also provide long-term management that includes network monitoring, troubleshooting, and carrier SLA management. State agencies will have full visibility through the orchestration platform to see their network performance, retrieve advanced reporting and analytics, and monitor network changes throughout the contract.
"QOS Networks is dedicated to delivering not just the latest technology solutions, but offering customers a unique and exceptional experience," says CEO of QOS Networks, Frank Cittadino. "Working with the State of California is an exciting opportunity not just to bring new solutions to their network, but to deliver their digital transformation."
QOS Networks is focused around large-scale deployments of intelligent network solutions including SD-WAN, edge compute, learning WiFi, network integrations like IoT, AI, and ITSM platforms, and much more. Coupled with their advanced capabilities for management and network monitoring, QOS has become a leader in design, deployment, and management of enterprise networks. With tens of thousands of managed edges today, and customers in more than 30 countries, QOS has become the solution provider for SD-WAN solutions.
"We are very pleased that the State of California has picked VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud as the platform of choice for their network," said Sanjay Uppal, vice president and general manager, VeloCloud business unit at VMware. "We look forward to working with our partner QOS Networks to help the State of California realize the full benefits of SD-WAN."
QOS Networks will also be working directly with public sector distributor Carahsoft Technology Corp., a dominant expert in technology for the public sector space.
"Network connectivity is critical for connecting agencies and enabling remote work, and VMware's SD-WAN by VeloCloud is a proven platform for increasing network speeds and lowering overall costs," said Tim Boltz, Director of the VMware State, Local and Education team at Carahsoft. "Our team looks forward to helping QOS Networks implement this solution and ensuring that government employees throughout the State of California enjoy the full benefits of the platform."
