Sounds like a solid plan.

Re: Not 100
@Michelle: Indeed. That's why you'll see sites like Avvo full of disclaimer after disclaimer -- and is one of many reasons why many attorneys choose not to engage there in the first place.

Re: Not 100
No way! People rely on info posted to the internet?

Ha! Agreed.

Re: Not 100
@Michelle: Sure, but the disclaimers aren't just for you. They're just as much for lurkers and anyone else coming across this stuff. A lot of people out there who tend to overrely on what they read on the Internet...

That's the good stuff! Thanks for sharing.

I do know better, but I really want to know these things. I also understand these opinions are totally unofficial and can't be mistaken for actual legal advice. :D

Re: Not 100
@Michelle: You should know better than to ask. ;) I don't give actual legal opinions/advice in public fora.

That said, based on what very very little I know about the situation, I can say that I'd be unlikely to take such a case.

Re: Not 100
What's your unofficial legal opinion of the situtation? Might the fired employee have grounds to sue the former boss?

Re: Not 100
@Michelle: By my reading of the article, the previous boss had already been let go -- and, thus, was unincentivized to intervene to maintain the employee's status.

Re: Not 100
Thanks for the link! I saw the headlines, but hadn't read the story yet. Human intervention must be allowed in these automated tasks. I wonder what they'll do with the previous boss who set all this in motion.

Re: Not 100
@Michelle: That'd actually be a great way to help ensure the robots don't take over -- get rid of wireless technology, and use short cords!

Alas, it wouldn't be 100% effective because of the social law of authority, as this recent example demonstrates: (link)
